Welcome! If you've been directed here, that means you're quite likely a new member of Sakura Cloud, or you're considering joining, either way this post will probably be your best bet for all the information you need to know to get by as a member of SC ;D If you think there's anything missing, feel free to comment and ask!
-------
First up, the most important step is to join the forums if you haven't already. Once you have an account, it's time to introduce yourself to everyone and choose your colour to represent yourself in colour codes. Also one last important thing - please post in this thread so we can add you to the member register and you will be allocated your generation.
SC is a very social group and we have a chat going on all the time on Skype! I highly recommend signing up to Skype and adding someone and asking to be added to the conversation! If you're not sure who to add, try NekoYukai or lilmenchi (those are our skype names as well!). We have people from all over the world, in many different timezones, so it's very rare that you'll get a time when someone isn't online. We often organise a lot of impromptu covers and duets on there as well, so why not join in the fun ;D?
Not quite, before you sign up for anything make sure to check out our how to record thread. How you normally record might be different to how we would like you to record at SC, so make sure you follow the guidelines to make the lives of those mixing easier. Once you've checked through that, you can start looking for things to sing! All releases are sign up based, so you only participate in what you want to, and more importantly, what you can handle.
A Main Project release works like this:
00 - (Optional) Songs are suggested by members in the project thread or in the dedicated suggestion thread
01 - Myself or NY choose the songs on the release, and open sign ups for members to join the songs they like
02 - Release goes into coding, lyrics are divided showing which member sings which parts
03 - Coded lyrics are posted so members can record before a set due date
04 - Once all lines are in (or missing lines covered) the release enters the mixing stage
05 - Songs finish mixing, cover art is made, and the project is released for us to enjoy!
While things may not follow this exactly for every release, this is the basic work flow of how we try to get things done.
Want to get more out of SC and start your own projects featuring SC members? You can do that too in the Free-for-all section! To start your own release, you will need to organise mixing/coding yourself.

And that's it really! If you have any questions, feel free to ask here. Otherwise you can PM myself, NekoYukai, your group leader or just ask away in the Skype chat and someone should be able to help you!

So I've auditioned, what now?

Great, so I've introduced myself and I have a colour! Can I sign up for things now?
